CC NOTES

THINGS change and people have to move on, but it is always disappointing when good members have to leave and concentrate on more important personal interests. CCC is about to lose three of its members; they all will be greatly missed.

Ann Wakefield has served on Culter Community Council since the early nineties and has been instrumental, among other things, in keeping the books, which is a very important part of CCC. The organisation of the distribution of the Courier has been developed to a position where Ann has recruited many of you to assist and she has agreed to continue with Courier distribution.

Over the years, Ann also has been heavily involved with the Gala. There really is a deal of preparation beforehand, much of which goes unnoticed until something isn't there! It's then that we look for Ann who usually has the answer to the problem. Muriel Cheyne is another who has given her time to CCC since the early nineties and among other things has kept a watchful eye on local changes and kept CCC up to date with news of any areas of contention, gates, walkways and rights of way: Again she will be missed and we will need to look around for someone with similar local know-how to keep us right in the future.

This will bring the CCC to a position where it is obvious that we will have to look around for some new faces. Please don't get caught in the rush to join.
