Culter School's National Success

THE Pupil Council recently enjoyed a day at the Glasgow Film Theatre, where they collected 2nd prize in a national video competition, organised by Learning and Teaching Scotland. Their film was entitled `A Day in the Life of Culter School' and was originally made for the SETT Conference at the AECC, where they also scooped 2nd prize.

The prize from Learning and Teaching Scotland was a cheque for £500, a year's free access to Atomic Learning and an “Oscar”. The prize was presented by Jade Lezar and Laura McGonagle from River City fame. The pupils have decided to put this money towards `Zoe's Playground, as Zoe was involved in making the film for the original competition.

We have made a film for the P7s leaving school and 'keepsake copies' can be ordered by e-mail to h.polson@culter.aberdeen.sch.uk We only ask that you give a small donation to cover the cost of the CDs. Any extra money made after paying for the CDs will go towards “Zoe's Playground.”
