Peterculter Golf Club

RECENTLY we have enjoyed some very good weather and Peterculter Golf Club (PGC) has been busy with outings, opens and lots of fun/ competition golf for the members. On Monday 17th July golfers even walked off the course as it was too hot to play!!  Is this a first for North East Scotland.

By the time you read this, PGC will have hosted Aberdeen Petroleum Club's Charity Pro-Am golf tournament for the third time. On Saturday 5th August, over 45 teams of four players (including one PGA Professional from the Scottish Tartan Tour) will be playing alongside local sponsored teams as well as several celebrity guest players including former Scottish rugby players Gavin and Scott Hastings, football pundit Jimmy Hill and actor Dennis Waterman. Last year the event was a huge success and helped raise an enormous amount of money for local charity "Cash for Kids", so we are hoping for an even more successful event this year.

The club has recently opened its new Dormy/Half Way house situated between the 8th green and the 9th tee box. This new construction was made possible bv the generous sponsorship of local businesses

  • ABERDEIN CONSIDINE & CO,

  • WEATHERFORD

  • SPARKS ELECTRICAL

  • BALMORAL TANKS

  • DIRECT KITCHENS.

The Dormv house includes purpose-built toilets for men and women and a kitchen area complete with sink and work taps. There is also a patio area for weary golfers to take a rest, if speed of play allows (!) and enjoy the view.

Our course is generally accepted to be one of the best in the region attracting visitors from far and wide. We have received many complimentary comments about the condition of the course and most of these can be attributed to the hard work put in by Colin Forbes, the Course Manager and his team of hardworking greens staff.

PGC is a friendly club with good bar and restaurant facilities. We have a very limited number of memberships available so if you are new to the area or new to golf then you should consider joining PGC. For more information about the club, you can visit the website, www.petercultergolfclub.co.uk or go up to the club and see for yourself.
