Eastleigh Care Centre

MARGARET MEARNS, the Activities Organiser, retired from Eastleigh on Friday 21 July. Hopefully her successor will continue to place an entry in the Courier.

 On leaving, Margaret would like to thank the people of Culter for their enormous support in her many years of fund raising for the residents' activities fund. She also has been very appreciative of the support so many have given the residents themselves, many of whom are originally from Culter itself. Thank you all so much.

 Editor: Margaret will  be a very hard act to follow She has worked unstintingly, for many years to bring extra comforts to the residents of Eastleigh and has organised so many activities for them. I am  sure you will join me in wishing her a long, happy retirement with lots of time spent with the grandchildren.

I have been asked to pass on Margaret’s thanks to all who supported the May Fayre - businesses who donated prizes etc., and those who attended this lovely day and raised so much money. £1,400 was the figure. (Yes, Margaret, 1 got it right. Not £14,000 as I said!)
