Culter School PTA

OUR Bingo Night in September was another enjoyable and successful evening. A break during the evening allowed players to enjoy a hot drink, home bakes and a chat. The next Bingo Nights will be on Thursday 2 February and Thursday 20 April, 7.15 pm, in the school GP room. Thank you to all who attended and we welcome newcomers to bingo.

The PTA organised a very enjoyable `Pumpkin Party' for the P1-3s in October. This included a storyteller, snack and games. At Christmas we had our most successful Christmas fair ever. This is an opportunity for children to buy suitable presents for their parents, brothers and sisters and other family members for the small cost of £2 per present.

The PTA also supplemented a visit to the cinema in December. In February we will be holding a `Valentine's Disco' for the P4-7s.

Our major fundraising event will be a `Spring Fair and Fun Day' on Saturday 18 March, 1-3 pm. We will be organising events and activities which will appeal to children and adults alike. Refreshments will also be available. Raffles tickets will be on sale shortly. Look out for the posters around the village.

All monies raised by the PTA directly benefits pupils at Culter School. All parents and guardians are welcome to attend its meetings and members can be contacted via the school office or email culterpta@hotpop.com. Details of forthcoming events are displayed on the school website.
