Culter Mills Sports and Recreation Club

Festive Fun

THE Club had a successful festive period with in particular the Christmas Eve Dance, Christmas Raffle, Club Pensioners' Party and the New Year's Family Day being well supported. Plans are afoot to enhance these for the end of this year and to further integrate our activities into those of the village. Of course we are always looking for new members and perhaps those who attended as guests are now considering joining.

Forthcoming Features

Unfortunately due to a lack of interest at this stage, the Mill Closure Reunion will now not take place as originally anticipated but the committee have decided to go ahead with a dance on Saturday 18th February where exemployees of the Culter Mills Paper Company are most welcome. If anyone wants to bring along memorabilia to share with ex colleagues so much the better.

The entertainments' section is also developing a plan for the next 12 months which will include celebration of special occasions such as Burns' Birthday and Valentine's Day. Have a look at the Club Notice Boards for further details.

Bowling Club and Old Club

Much work has taken place to review the options open to the committee and members regarding what needs to be done to repair/replace the Old Club. There is still a great deal of work to be done however and consultations with various parties and organisations are ongoing. Watch this space for developments.

Membership

The new membership year has just begun so if you are thinking of joining "The Club" pop into the lounge and pick up a membership form. You will be made very welcome.
