Culter Theatre ClubDear Theatre-Lovers `Never mind about 1066 William the Conqueror, 1087 William the Second. Such things are not going to affect one's life ...but 1932 the Mars Bar and 1936 Maltesers and 1937 the Kit Kat - these dates are milestones in history and should be seared into the memory of every child in the country.' Roald Dahl
AND how right he was! This year Culter Theatre Club will bring you Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (and a musical treat) - not quite a panto This popular play will be full of panto moments for all ages. Roahl Dahl's classic story will be brought to you by an extremely strong cast, selected from the many adults and children who auditioned in August. Since when can a local theatre club boast about having 17 boys turn up for auditions? And good ones too, as you will be able to see when you come to support yet another production with a difference. So good in fact, we decided to send away Johnny Depp... If you're concerned about a potential lack of music during the play, don't worry. Our very talented chorus will delight you with a wide variety of sweet music before and after the play. The production is directed by Pauline de Koning and produced by Valerie Stam. There will be 4 performances (15th - 17th December): Thursday 15th, Friday 16th & Saturday 17th at 7.30pm Also Saturday 17th matinee at 2pm Tickets cost £6.00 (adults) and £4.50 (child/concession) and will be on order from the Village Hall and at Alldays from 15 November or from the cast from 1 November. To order tickets: please leave sealed envelope with cheque (made payable to Culter Theatre Club) or exact money, with order form/note stating exact amount of tickets (concessions/full price). Orders will be collected each Friday and tickets will be issued the following Monday. Seats are allocated on first come first served basis and the administration process will keep a clear track of when orders were placed. The production will be tremendous fun, colourful and extremely lively. Watch out for them OompaLoompas... I can hear them coming! Bill de Koning CTC Chairperson |
