DESPITE appalling weather on gala day, all participants were determined to make a success of this special day for Culter and as many local organisations as possible set up stall in the village hall. The effort made by all stallholders and the attendance by Culter people made the event a great success. Culter School PTA won first prize for best stall. The money recently granted by the gala committee will be used to buy books for the school library.

Thank you to all our regulars, and newcomers, who attended our first bingo event of the year on 29 September. It was a great success and with tea, coffee and home bakes, enjoyed by all. Look out for the next one on Thursday 1 February.

A very successful fundraising coffee morning on Friday 30 September raised over £80 for Macmillan Cancer Relief. Several enthusiastic supporters continued on a `coffee crawl' to the Macmillan event down at St Peter's Hall!

Our major fundraising event will be a `Spring Fair and Fun Day'. This will take place on Saturday 18 March. Look out for posters about the event closer to the date.
