The Blue Door

THE BLUE DOOR - THE FUTURE?

MANY Culter Courier readers know of The Blue Door, the charity shop at Newton Dee. Several of you are volunteer staff and many of you are amongst our regular customers. We raise funds for Friends of Camphill Medical Practice to provide complementary therapies (i.e. those not funded by the NHS).

At present we operate in premises leased from Newton Dee Village but the Village now needs the premises for other purposes and we will not have the use of our present shop after January 2006.

We are actively looking for new premises, ideally shop premises in the Cults - Culter area, but it is difficult to find premises which are both suitable and affordable. A commercial rent would eat into our income and have a drastic effect on the money we would have available to fulfil the charity's purpose.

Of course, as soon as we know where and when we will re-open we will publicise this as widely as possible. In the meantime, we are still open and carrying a large and varied stock and we look forward to your continued support as staff, customers and donors of goods for sale.
