Culter Football ClubChampions Culter: In the most exciting finish to the League Championships for many years, the top three teams - Culter, Glentanar and Turriff United - were due to play each other in the last few games of the season. On 21 May, Culter clinched the Super League Title for the second successive season by beating Turriff United 2-1 at Crombie Park in the penultimate game, whilst our other rivals Glentanar went down 2-0 to Sunnybank. The last league match against Glentanar at Woodside, was academic and ended in a satisfactory 0-0 draw. Double Delight: The icing on the cake was added when Culter beat Sunnybank through the only goal in the game from Neil `Toastie' McRitchie to win the Acorn Heating Cup at Lochside Park to clinch the League and Cup double on 31 May.

Top Team: The excellent season was rounded when Culter was announced as the NRJFA Team of the Month for May 2005 following this double success. Annual Awards: The Dick Brown Memorial Trophy, presented annually to the member who has done most for the Club over the past year, was won by Club Vice-President and Team Secretary Doug Grant. Deserved and clear cut winner, Doug won it for his 4th time. He previously won it in 1988/89, 1999/2000 and 2000/O1. Player of the Year - Larry Barclay Trophy was won by Roddy Cameron. Roddy was even more of a votes winner with his landslide victory. He was our top scorer, ousting the prolific `Toastie' from pole position. Roddy had an outstanding season. AGM Appointment: At Culter FC's Annual General Meeting, Ronald J Mackay was proposed and unanimously voted to become one of the select group of Honorary Vice Presidents in view of his outstanding past service and his continuing support of Culter FC. Russell's Resumption: Goalkeeper Russell Milne was at last able to resume work on 13 July - over six months since his horrendous double leg break sustained against Glentanar on Saturday 8 January 2005. Lochee Licking: In the semi-final of the SJFA Super Cup, featuring the top four Junior Teams in Scotland, Culter were humbled with a 5-0 defeat by Lochee United, Tayside Super League Champions. Lochee United had even given up ground rights as their pitch was not ready following close season work but went nap at Crombie Park on Saturday 23 July - resounding to the cheers of their lady supporters (The Blue Belles).
